COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH MEASUREMENT

We can carry out non-destructive or sampling of concrete to estimate compressive strength.

Concrete testing with the SCHMIDT Hammer is the most frequently used method
worldwide for non-destructive testing of concrete and structural components.

Concrete Test Hammer
ASTM C-805, BS-1881-202.

Accurate results to within approx. 15% on 10 to 70 MPa concrete.
Calibration curves plot the hammer rebound number versus
compressive strength.

The Concrete Test Hammer is used as a control and test instrument for measuring the quality and strength of in-place concrete.
The Concrete Test Hammer is valuable for use in the field for trouble-shooting to determine when test cores are needed and where they should be drilled.  The device is also used to determine the rate of increase in strength of concrete with time and may be used to determine when forms can be removed or loads applied.

When verification is required core samples are removed and mechanical testing is performed.
